More information Decided together: Our 2026 anniversary model The votes from our community were clear: you want to see the coal and steel industry on the model layouts – and we‘ll make it happen! 80 years of FALLER – that calls for a model with ﬂ ying sparks! In 2026 we will let the blast furnace blaze again. The model: the legendary blast furnace 2 in Duisburg‘s Meiderich steelworks. It spit ﬁ re and pig iron for decades - until the last embers went out in 1985. Today it is a monument and landmark. Tomorrow it will become a miniature and anniversary model. With an inclined lift, gas torch, gantry crane and countless ﬁ ne details, history is being turned into a unique construction project – sophisticated, monumental, fascinating.

Anniversary model 2026 130026 Blast furnace with casting hall For our 2026 anniversary model, we are bringing industrial history to life! We took our inspiration from the Meiderich steelworks in Duisburg, founded by August Thyssen at the beginning of the 20th century. Pig iron was produced there for decades - until the last of fi ve blast furnaces went out in 1985. The model recreates the plant‘s legendary blast furnace 2 and brings the coal and steel industry into the model world. At the same time, we are building a bridge to another historic milestone: 75 years of the European Coal and Steel Community. The European Coal and Steel Community, the nucleus of today‘s EU, once opened up duty-free access to coal and steel - and thus paved the way for economic unifi ca- tion and lasting peace in Euro- pe. A model with history, vision and weight - for collectors, history and technology enthusiasts and anyone looking for a challenge!
